He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Paynter and Evelyn Paynter. He is survived by: his daughter Lakesha Knight; his grandchildren, Nehemiah Johnson, Azerria Jones, Dazia Jones, Alayah Anderson and Reagan Anderson; and his sister Mona Vessels (David Vessels).
