He is survived by: his close friend Christine Benson; his stepsons, Chandler Benson and Julien Benson-Reid; his siblings, Diane C. Rogers (Perry) and James A. Carnright, Jr.; his nephews, Perry W. Rogers, Jr. (Tara) and Jeff Carnright (Dafne); and his niece Amy R. Allen (Alex).
