He was predeceased by: his parents, Lee Herring and Adele Herring; and his siblings, William Herring and Evelyn Portz. He is survived by: his son Charles Wain (Shanna Rosan); his stepgranddaughter Katie Mancuso (family: Joie Miller); and his nieces and nephews, Thomas Portz and Robert Portz (family: Cynthia Murphy, Carolyn Holisz, Julia Hoyt, Virginia Annand, Sherill Russel, Susan Portz, Katherine Spangler, Laura Barnett). He is also survived by family, Cynthia Murphy and family, Carolyn Holisz and family, Julia Hoyt and family, Virginia Annand and family, Sherill Russel and family, Susan Portz and family.
