He is survived by: his wife Carol A. Howard; his children, Geoffrey Howard (Laura) of Lewes and Colleen Grier (Jim) of Newark, DE; and his brother John Howard (Joan) of Emmitsburg, MD. He is also survived by seven grandchildren.
