We are sad to announce that on March 1, 2025, at the age of 89, Steven Alvin Kolbay (Middletown, Delaware) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Stephen Kolbay and Elza Kolbay; his sister Elza Kolbay; and his son David. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Darby of Darien, CT.; his children, Steven Kolbay, Alison Martyn, Timothy Kolbay, Brendan Kolbay (Elena), Megan Kolbay (Glenn) and Michael Kolbay (Keri); his grandchildren, Jared Kolbay, Nicholas Kolbay (Elle), Victor Kolbay (Rachel), Matthew Hatten (Leona), Christopher Hatten (Petra), Melissa Hatten, Aiden Davidson, Liam Kolbay and Jessica Kolbay; his great grandchildren, Calvin Kolbay, Cassie Kolbay, Olivia Kolbay, Zidane Hatten, Lenneth Hatten and Zoey Hatten; and his siblings, Ann Vargo and Louis Vargo.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, March 12th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church (371 E Main St, Middletown, DE 19709). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday, March 12th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the St. Joseph Parish (371 E Main St, Middletown, DE 19709).
