She was predeceased by: her parents, George Samuels and Kizzy Samuels (Richardson); her husband Larry Murray; and her siblings, Ruth Sinkler, Gertrude Brown-Milligan, Sarah Samuels, Pearline Irizarry and Willie Samuel.
She is survived by: her children, Monique Samuels, Cornell Samuels (Annemarie) and Larry Murray (Jawanda); and her brother David Mays of Queens. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
