He was predeceased by: his parents, Jasper M. and Mary A. Lakey (Zeuris); and his wife Louise Lakey (Cathcart). He is survived by: his siblings, Edward A. Lakey (Jeanne) and Mary Lou Bond. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
