It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Erwin Venten Douglas of Middletown, Delaware, born in Rock Cave, West Virginia, who passed away on February 1, 2024, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Dana Venten and Ella Douglas (Hyre); his wife Sadie Marie Douglas (Legates); his siblings, Nile Douglas, Maxine Phillips and Jennis Hinkle; his stepdaughter LuAnn McEvoy-Kurt; and his former wife Carmela Douglas.
He is survived by: his daughter Pamela Wilhelm (George) of Middletown, DE; his stepchildren, Deborah Durante (Doug) of New Castle, DE, Patrick McEvoy (Sherry) of Vinton, VA and Kent McEvoy (Heidi) of Middletown, DE; and his stepson-in-law Fred Kurt of New Castle, DE. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.
