It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy Daufenbach (Marydel, Delaware), born in Elfers, Florida, who passed away on October 6, 2018, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parent Melvin Harper; and her husband Harold Daufenbach. She is survived by: her parent Nellie Morris Harper; her children, Melvin Daufenbach of Marydel, Carla Daufenbach (Robert Gorkin) of Marydel and Pamela Bright (Brian) of Felton; her grandchildren, Samantha Rhoads, James Bright, Sarah Bright, John Bright, Amanda Smolarek, Rebecca Brosius and Dean Cooper; her great grandchildren, Payton Bright, Brayden Rhoads, Addison Brosius, Brantley Rhoads, Sophia Rhoads, Emma Smolarek, Olivia Higinbotham, Blayke Rhoads, Aubrie Bright and Willow Higinbotham; her siblings, William Harper, Wayne Harper and Norma Jean Raynes; and her close friend Orelia Browne.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to her adopted family in Belize, payable to God's Missionary Church, 1616 Lords Corner Rd., Felton, DE 19943.
