He was predeceased by: his mother Donna Ann Allison Snell. He is survived by: his father David James Snell of Dover; his son John Wayne; his wife Aimee Johnson Snell of Magnolia; and his children, James David Snell, II, Brittany Allison and Caroline Leslie Snell (Nicholas Mullen). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to Wesley United Methodist Church, 209 S. State Street, Dover, DE 19901.
