He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Grady Putnam Sr. and Kate Sharpe Putnam; and his grandson TJ Wadsworth. He is survived by: his wife Toni; his children, Lisa Putnam Chapman (John), Samuel Grady Putnam III, Marissa Putnam Wadsworth and Doree Putnam Baker (John); his sister Mary Lou Norcross of Gastonia; and his grandchildren, Ford Chapman, Jesse, Ryan, Jake, Anna Putnam, Madison, Chase Wadsworth, Jack, Hannah and Sam Baker. He is also survived by three nieces, a nephew, and grandnieces and nephews.
