With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Robert L. McDermott of Long Neck, Delaware, born in Washington, District of Columbia, who passed away on March 26, 2023 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He is survived by: his wife Amy Monaghan McDermott; his daughter Stephanie McDermott Gagliano; his granddaughters, Caroline and Noelle Gagliano of Arlington, VA; his brothers, Leo McDermott (Chere) of Hilltown, PA and Bernard McDermott; his sisters-in-law, Meg Guessford of Germantown, MD, Seana Gallagher (Ike) of Alexandria, VA and Siobhan Bixel of Myrtle Beach, SC; and his pet Lola. He is also survived by loving nieces, nephews, and extended family.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society, c/o Mary Mother of Peace Church 30839 Mt. Joy Road, Millsboro, DE 19966.
