He was predeceased by: his brother John Robert Showell, Jr.; and his grandparents, Joseph King, Laura Caroline Rich, Sam Houston and B. Imogene Ittel Showell.
He is survived by: his parents, John Robert and Betty Louise Rich Showell of Lewes, DE.; his daughters, Kimberley L. Showell (Ryan) of Wilmington, DE and Wendy A. Weimer (John) of Enola, PA.; his siblings, Jeffrey A. Showell of Lewes, DE, Judith S. Loeber (Jim) of Millsboro, DE and Jill Offidani Showell of Milton, DE.; his niece Sarah T. Loeber; his nephews, C. J. and Kyle R. Offidani; and his cousin Mark A. Showell.
