She was predeceased by: her parents, Dallas Revel and Margaret Layton Revel; her husband Norman C. Rickards; and her sons, John Short and Norman C. Rickards, Jr..
She is survived by: her children, George Rickards (Nancy Soto) of Burlington, NC, Brian Rickards of Lincoln, DE, Russell Rickards and Melissa Powell (Dave) of Pittsville, MD.; and her grandchildren, Trisha Rickards, Marcy Robinson and John Short. She is also survived by three Great grandchildren and her beloved canine friend.
