It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Wayne George Weimer in Lewes, Delaware, who passed away on April 11, 2025, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond George Weimer and Margaret Lillian Weimer (Walters); and his stepson David Matthew Cohen. He is survived by: his wife Diana Stamatoff Cohen of Lewes, DE; his stepsons, Robert T. Cohen of Hyannis, MA and Mark Stephen Cohen (Heather) of Mashpee, MA; his sister Susan Weimer Jaquette (John) of Ithaca, N. Y; his sister-in-law Janice B. Jochen (Ed) of Newark, DE.; and his nieces and nephews, Anne Jochen, Nancy S. Davenport (Darin), Janice S. Burian (Phil), J. Scott Jaquette (Catherine), Brian A. Jaquette (Brandy), Michael Jochen (Alison), John Edward Jochen and Matthew Stamatoff (Alejandia). He is also survived by ten grand-nephews and two grandnieces.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium-Atkins-Lodge Chapel (16961 Kings Hwy, Lewes, DE 19958). A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium Atkins-Lodge Chapel (16961 Kings Hwy, Lewes, DE 19958). An entombment will be held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at the Bethel Methodist Cemetery (600 Savannah Rd, Lewes, DE 19958).
In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made to the University of Delaware Scholarship Fund or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
