With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Edith C. Cross of Lewes, Delaware, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 5, 2025 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William "Skip" Carpenter and Catherine Dorman Carpenter; and her son Thomas Kevin Cross. She is survived by: her siblings, Thomas Carpenter (Glenda) and Bonnie Sheppard (Jesse); her children, Timothy Shawn Cross, Kimberly Ann McMinnis and Adrienne Cross Caycedo (John); and her grandchildren, Joshua Cross, Logan Cross, Timothy Cross, Thomas Cross, William Cross, Heather Tana, Marshall McMinnis, Tyler McMinnis, Jacob Essex, Lauren Essex and Morgan Essex.
Viewing was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Wednesday, February 19th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, February 19th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Bethel United Methodist Church (129 W 4th St, Lewes, DE 19958). A burial was held on Wednesday, February 19th 2025 at the Bethel Methodist Cemetery (600 Savannah Rd, Lewes, DE 19958).
