She was predeceased by: her parents, Joe Brown, Sr. and Claudia Bell Ivory-Brown; her husband Preston Joyner, Jr.; her son Preston Joyner, III; her sister Betty Wise; and her great grandchild Zaydan Chandler.
She is survived by: her daughters, Patricia Flem, Priscilla Payton, Glenda Payton and Angela Thomas; her brothers, Joe Brown, Jr., Ben Brown (Barbara) and Ivory Brown (Barbara); her daughter-in-law Marvella Joyner; her sister-in-law Beatrice Thomas; her grandchildren, Tamika Joyner (Timothy), Chamar Cherry, Tierra Robinson (Javar), Jermael Joyner (Debra) and Twyneca Chandler; and her close friend Tandra Matthews. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, in-laws, and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Calvary Pentecostal Church (13325 Worcester Hwy, Bishopville, MD 21813). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at the Calvary Pentecostal Church Cemetery (13325 Worcester Hwy, Bishopville, MD 21813).
