He was predeceased by: his parents, Ellis Wilford Konkel and Dorothy Mae Rogers Konkel; and his brothers, Robert Bruce Konkel and Gary Wayne Konkel. He is survived by: his wife Deborah Konkel of Laurel, DE; his children, Rosemary Stevens (Gregory) of Summerville, SC, John Konkel (Laurie) of Exmore, VA, Johanna Demir (Mehmet) of Laurel, DE and Eileen Gambacini (late Edward) of Midlothian, VA; his great grandchild Liam James Konkel; and his siblings, James Konkel of Riverhead, NY, Judith McGowan of Flanders, NY and Ellis Konkel of Eastport, NY. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, extended family and church friends.
