She was predeceased by: her parents, Herman Short and Pearl Stoakley Short; her close friend Donald R. Marine; and her sisters, Alice Foskey and Anna Mae Wright.
She is survived by: her children, Chris Gibbons (Teri) and Amanda Lynn Short; her siblings, Geraldine Jefferson and Ruben Short; her grandchildren, Michael Twilley (Brianna Dill), Katie Twilley and Ryan Twilley; and her great grandchildren, Rilee Dill and Bailee Dill. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
