He was predeceased by: his parents, Leroy Smith and Amelia Smith; and his son Alan Smith (Nancy). He is survived by: his wife Jean; his children, Valerie Smith and Robert Smith (Dana); his grandchildren, Scott Smith (Lindsey), Amelia Smith Dorsey (Kevin), Emma Smith Hexter (Christopher) and Emily Haskins-Smith; his great grandchildren, Taylor, Madison and Regan Smith; and his sister Shirley Smith Parsons (late Norman). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and family.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Laurel Odd Fellows Charity Lodge #27, Martha Rebekah Lodge #21 or Laurel American Legion Post #19 in Stanley's name.
