He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard A. Givens and Emma Jean Lowe; his close friend Raymond W. O'Neal III; and his sister Melody Givens Atkins. He is survived by: his children, Matthew J. Givens (Lindsay) and Kelsey L. Givens; his grandchildren, Everett J. Givens, Mason Moore and Alivia O'Neal; and his siblings, Richard A. Givens II of Dover, Catherine L. Calloway of Bethel, Charles C. Givens of Laurel and Craig W. Givens of Laurel.
