Olan Curtis Matthews Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Olan Curtis Matthews of Laurel, Delaware, born in Hagerstown, Maryland, who passed away on May 3, 2022 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Olan C. Matthews, Sr. and Irene W. Matthews; and his sister Lois Matthews Robertson. He is survived by: his wife Ruth Jones Matthews; his son Michael C. Matthews (Cindy); his grandson Alexander C. Matthews (Kristina); his great grandchildren, Madeleine C. Matthews, Catherine E. Matthews and Thomas C. Matthews; his brother-in-law Eugene E. Robertson; his nephew Eric E. Robertson; and his niece Lisa R. Ferguson. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Olan's memory to Charity Lodge #27 or the PRR Veteran Employees' Association in care of Carol Fry.
