She was predeceased by: her parents, Greensbury Whaley and Ethel Whaley; her husband Marvin Steen; her daughter Louise Veasey; her siblings, Roland Berry Whaley, Herbert Whaley, Blanche Joseph, Priestley Whaley, Pearl Brittingham, Norval Whaley and Junior Whaley; her daughter-in-law Dawn Steen; her granddaughters, Sheree Price and Donna Hitchens; and her nieces, Doris Banks and Mary Lou Pearson.
She is survived by: her children, Donald Steen (Nancy) of Laurel, Bonnie Allen (Steve) of Laurel, Brenda Oursler (Mike) of Laurel and Eddie Steen (Susan) of Laurel; and her sister Erma Waller. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren, twenty-three great grandchildren, one great great grandchild.
In lieu of flowers the family suggest contributions be made in Mrs. Steen's honor to Central Worship Center, 14545 Sycamore Road, Laurel, Delaware 19956.
