He is survived by: his wife Joyce Smart of Laurel; his children, Kenneth "Bruce" Smart (Susan), Brenda Thomas (Joseph) and Darin Smart; his grandchildren, Shawn Ward (Ashley), Shari Collins (Wesley), Shannon Macklin, Shane Smart (Heather), Brittney Acosta (Roman), Breanna Sawyer (Brad), Skylar Thomas (Montana) and Sarah Jester (Seth); his great grandchildren, Jackson, Leighton, Beckett Ward, Trevor, Caden Collins, Cole, Landen Macklin, Bristol Lambden, Collin Munoz, Austin, Addison Jester, Mateo Acosta, Kase Sawyer and Baby Thomas; his brother Robert Smart; and his sister-in-law Jacqueline Smart. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
