He was predeceased by: his parents, Hayward Thomas Whaley and Meridith Cecilia Dukes Whaley. He is survived by: his wife Joyce Whaley; his children, James Whaley, Jr. (Tami), Mike Whaley (Dina), Jeff Whaley (Susan) and Pam Whaley Gordy; his grandchildren, Katie Gordy, Kelly Jones (Kyle), Kelsy Gordy, Jordan Whaley, Zachary Whaley (Rachel), Garret Whaley, Sara Jo Whaley (Jose), Jimmy Whaley (Erica) and Carly Carrier (Chance); and his great grandchildren, Parker Gordy, Hadley, Ryan Jones, Rowan Carrier, Everett Whaley and Leonardi Sabinon Whaley.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Shiloh Community Church (14181 Shiloh Church Rd, Laurel, DE 19956).
In lieu of flowers the family suggests that contributions be made in honor of Mr. Whaley to Vitas Healthcare, 30265 Commerce Drive, Suite 202, Millsboro, Delaware 19966.
