It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Douglas William Short II of Laurel, Delaware, born in Seaford, Delaware, who passed away on February 4, 2022, at the age of 37, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Ernest Murphy, Reuben Short and Judith Short-Riggin. He is survived by: his parents, Donna Adkins (Jeff) and Douglas Short, Sr.; his stepbrother Jeffery Adkins (Ashleigh); his brother Daniel Odham; his grandmother Nancy Murphy; his fiancé Ashley Conaway; and his aunts and uncles, Michael W. Short, Sr. (Lori), Dennis Odham, David Odham, Diana Davidson (David), Francine Mann, Donna Hall (Edward) and Denise Murphy.
Even in death he was able to touch the lives of three families and three individual loved ones through organ donation.
