It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara Lewis Truitt of Laurel, Delaware, born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, who passed away on January 27, 2022, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Franklin Lewis and Martha Lewis; and her husband Reverend George William Truitt. She is survived by: her children, Alfred "Tommy" Bowden (Theresa), James Franklin Bowden, Robert Edwin Bowden (Coralee), Joseph Burton Bowden (Diane), Patricia B. Key (Gene), Michelle and B. Hall; and her siblings, Robert Howard Lewis, Edwin Ralph Lewis, Virginia "Ginny" Lee Lewis and Margaret Jean Lewis. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
