It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alan R. Whaley of Laurel, Delaware, who passed away on December 21, 2021, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Whaley and Mary Whaley (Wilkinson); and his brother Dick Whaley. He is survived by: his wife Charlene "Sug" Whaley; his children, Eddie Whaley (Tracy), Phyllis Toomey (Ray) and Nancy Hamilton; his grandsons, Dustin Hamilton (Verity) and Daniel Hamilton (Megan); his great grandchildren, Brady, Zoey, Chase and Grace; and his siblings, Arlene Conaway (Preston), Robert Whaley (Adele), Jack Whaley (Lorraine), Doug Whaley (Patty) and Wayne Whaley (Helen). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
