With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Janice L Ekoniak of Hockessin, Delaware, who passed away on March 6, 2023. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Virginia Shumaker Dark and Marvin Ray Dark; and her sister Joyce Cash. She is survived by: her husband Paul Ekoniak; her son Paul David Ekoniak (Michelle Ekoniak) of Moyock, NC; her stepson Robert Ekoniak (Charlene Ekoniak); her grandson Corbin Ekoniak of San Diego, CA; her stepson Scott Ekoniak of Sacramento, CA; her siblings, Jill Holland, Jay Dark, Jeff Dark, Joe Dark, Jane Shutes and Charla Dark; and her uncle Duane Shumaker (Nancy). She is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations in lieu of flowers may be made to Daughters of the American Revolution, Virginia Beach Beacon Baptist Church, or New Century Church, Veedersburg, IN.
