She was predeceased by: her parents, Ivan Yoder and Betty Yoder; and her great grandchildren, Tianna Wisseman and Ray Ray Kinzer. She is survived by: her husband David Rust; her children, John Ottinger Jr. and Tina Munoz; her grandchildren, Kimberly Wisseman, Brittney Smith, Jade Ottinger, Seleana Munoz, Noah Munoz, Olivia O'Steen and Pegasus Vanderwend; her brothers, Eddie Yoder (LouAnn) and Jerry Yoder (Sherry); and her pet Yappy. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Breast Cancer Society or Alzheimer's Society in Velma's honor.
