In the sacred silence of farewell, Steven is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. And as his memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Steven's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Calvin L. Curtiss and Phyllis A. Curtiss. He is survived by: his wife Dawn Curtiss; his children, Christine Wilhelm (Charles), Greg Curtiss (Erin), Natalee Hitchens (Jag), William Brown (Nicole) and Nicole Sapp (Jason); and his sister Kathy Gove (Mark). He is also survived by 12 grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 15th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Melvin Funeral Home (15522 S Dupont Hwy, Harrington, DE 19952). A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, April 16th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Saint Bernadette Catholic Church (109 Dixon St, Harrington, DE 19952).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in memory of Steven Curtiss may be made to the University of Maryland School of Medicine Division of Transplantation. Checks should be made payable to the University of Maryland Baltimore Foundation, Inc., and sent to the University of Maryland Office of Development, 31 South Greene Street, 3rd Floor, Baltimore, MD 21201.
