She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter E. Christen and Dorothy Durig; her husband George S. Knowles; her stepdaughter Karen W. Knowles; and her great grandchild Reece Lucas.
She is survived by: her brother Terry Christen of Georgia; her children, Christopher L. Lucas (Tina) of Houston, DE, Brenda K. Gallagher (James) of Smyrna, DE, Kenneth W. Knowles (Robin) of Bear, DE and Michael S. Lucas (Melissa) of Clayton, DE; and her grandchildren, Christopher W. Lucas (Melissa), Brian A. Lucas (Alyssa), James R. Lucas Justin C. (Cassie), Lucas (Victor), Augustus J. Gallagher (Kelsey), Amanda J. Gallagher (Brandon Cleveland), Morgan A. Jacobs (Mathew) and Jacob B. Lucas (Samantha).
