He was predeceased by: his mother Lucille E. Mears; his wife Linda Mears; and his grandchildren, Erin Trowbridge and Mark Talcott. He is survived by: his father Christopher C. Mears; his grandchildren, Ashley, Bobby, Paul, Tom, Jennifer, Stephanie, Clifton, Matt, James and Lynsy; his brother Donnie Mears; his aunt Isabelle Townsend; and his close friends, Betty Kemp, Mo Oakley and Junior Cohee. He is also survived by 14 great grandchildren.
