He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Nelson and Amelia Nelson; his wife Edith May Nelson; and his siblings, Arthur William Nelson II and Ollie Nelson Willis.
He is survived by: his daughters, Linda Spiegel (Thomas J.) and Carol Ann Weaver (Bruce E.); his grandchildren, Tiffani Lynne, Amanda May, Jessica A., Eric C. and Jonathon P.; his great grandchildren, Madison, Ashton, Owen, Lauryn, Landon and Colton; his sister-in-law Mary Elizabeth "Mimi" Cross; and his friend Barbara French.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial contribution can be made to the Avenue United Methodist Church, 20 North Church Street, Milford, DE 19963; or to a charity of your choice.
