He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard R. McCarter and Rose Marie McCarter; and his sister Rosalie. He is survived by: his wife Karen McCarter; his children, Mickey McCarter (Jessica Balen), Robin McCarter (Cristiano), Jennifer Demarest (Brian), Cyndi McCarter and Katie Wilson (Alex); his grandchildren, Kayla Brennick, Zach Weikart, Julie Brennick, Cheyenne Shaner, Dakota Shaner, Riley Shaner, Caleb Wilson and Christopher Ferreira; his great grandchild Aiden Weikart; and his siblings, Melvin McCarter, Stanley McCarter, Kathy McCarter, Bobby McCarter, Karen Apitch and Allen McCarter. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
