He is survived by: his children, Randy Hockensmith (Dana), Kenneth Hockensmith (Sharon) and Cindy Garrard (Don); his sister Anna Krichten; and his grandchildren, Joey Hockensmith-Casson, LaDone "Buddy", Bryan, Daniel, Todd and Krissy. He is also survived by grandchildren, several great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, and extended family.
