John-Leav Parker wrote a sympathy message

“My sincere heartfelt condolences to family in this time of grief. Ryan was a tough, but sensitive man. I enjoyed many talks during his school years as well as the effort he always offered on the athletic field. Ryan was a tremendous player, but more than that, Ryan was a great classmate and teammate. He had that "Blue Raider Pride". He will be missed. Those times and his simile is what I will remember. Coach Parker”
