He was predeceased by: his parents, Milton Swartzentruber and Savannah Bender Swartzentruber; his son Daniel; and his siblings, Valentine, Milton, John, Elizabeth and Carolyn.
He is survived by: his wife Evelyn Swartzentruber of Greenwood; his children, Fern Baker (Maynard) of Bassett, VA, Ruth Ann Hays (Steve) of Greenwood and John David Swartzentruber (Carlene) of Greenwood; and his daughter-in-law Connie Holmberg (Skip) of Greenwood. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.
