He was predeceased by: his daughter Freida; his siblings, Lydia, Goldie, Annie, Amos, Noah and Harry; and his parents, Fred and Mary.
He is survived by: his spouse Dema (Chupp); his daughters, Fern (Duane) and Elvida (Curtis); his son-in-law Clinton of Wagener, S. C.; and his brother Ervin Mishler of Sturgis. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers contributions can be given to Greenwood Mennonite School or Living Hope Fellowship building fund.
