He was predeceased by: his parent Lorenzo Slabaugh; his wife Barbara Slabaugh (Hostetler); and his siblings, Walter E. Schlabach, Lloyd E. Schlabach, Paul Slabaugh, Martha Tucker, Mary Bender, Timothy Schlabach and Evangel Schlabach.

He is survived by: his parent Polly Slabaugh (Miller); his children, Kathryn Chupp (Andrew) of Georgetown, Grace Lambert (Norman) of Moravian Falls, N. C., Sam Slabaugh of Delmar, Chris Slabaugh (Joyce) of Quarryville and Nancy "Pip" Craig (Ron) of Seaford; his siblings, Titus Schlabach of Greenwood and Pollyanna Eby of Bellville; and his sister-in-law Josie Schlabach. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren.

They have asked that in lieu of flowers, contributions in Fred's memory be forwarded to Compassionate Care Hospice, 20165 Office Circle, Georgetown, DE 19947 or Country Rest Home, 12046 Sunset Lane, Greenwood, DE 19950.
