He is survived by: his wife Patricia Smith; his daughters, Melissa Ellis (Michael) and Janeen Conway (Shawn); his stepson Kenny Smith; his grandchildren, Cortney Ellis, Michael Ellis, Felicity, Asher Shober, Nicolas Kurchoyck, Kenny, Nicole Smith, Amber and Adam Smith; and his siblings, John Smith, Irene Waltonmeyer, Cheryl Weaver, Dorothy Smith and Linda McKinney. He is also survived by several great grandchildren.
