With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Vernita M. Elzey of Georgetown, Delaware, who passed away on September 21, 2020 at the age of 68. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, James Parsons and Mildred Parsons; and her brother Roland Parsons. She is survived by: her husband Charles Russell Elzey; her children, David Martin Elzey (Mary), Daniel Brent Elzey and Donna Anne Young (Anthony); her grandchildren, Tyler, Zachary, Devon, Caden, Addison Elzey, Zachery, Zakayla Young and Kaylee Figgs; and her siblings, David Parsons (Christy), Wayne Parsons (Cathy) and Nancy Meisenholder (Denny). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Due to current gathering restrictions, masks and social distancing will be required. The funeral service at the funeral home will be private.
