He is survived by: his children, Lisa Showard of Georgetown, Thomas Messick Jr. (Ceresia) of Georgetown and Sara Messick of Georgetown; and his siblings, Samuel Messick III, Elizabeth Chronister and Brian Messick (Pee Wee). He is also survived by 8 grandchildren.
