She was predeceased by: her parents, Fredrick Joseph Guerin and Mary Moore Guerin; her husband William Anthony Backes; and her sister Elizabeth House. She is survived by: her children, Steven Michael Backes (Bing), David Christopher Backes (Nina) and April B Willey (John); and her grandchildren, Jessica, Karis, Jasmine, William, Janice, Jason, Aaron, Jenna and Ashley. She is also survived by many great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, March 21st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Crossroad Community Church (20684 State Forest Rd, Georgetown, DE 19947). A memorial service was held on Friday, March 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
