He is survived by: his wife Ruth Lewis Chandler; his children, Steve Bailey (Cassandra) of Accomac, Kenneth Chandler, Renell Beach (Rufus Jr.) of Accomac and Debra Conquest of Melfa, Virginia; his grandchildren, Rufus Beach III, Darrell Conquest, Jerry Sweat, Christopher Harmon and Josiah Chandler; his sister-in-law Lucy Redden (Donald); and his nephews, Rodney Lewis, Gregory Smith and Tim Smith.
