He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Schmitt and Dora Manspeaker Schmitt. He is survived by: his wife Josephine Schmitt of Georgetown, DE; his children, Larezza Truman, Charles Schmitt (Meg), Adam Schmitt, Maria Schmitt (April), Danielle Schmitt (Sydney), Ashley Antonio (Calvin) and Juan Antonio; and his grandchildren, Christian, Devin, Haisley Schmitt, Cayde and Kalina Taylor.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 7th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Thomas Funeral Home (700 Locust St, Cambridge, MD 21613). A graveside service was held on Monday, April 7th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Greensboro Cemetery (309 S Main St, Greensboro, MD 21639).
