He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Smith and Phebe Walls Smith; and his wife Betty Jane Tribitt. He is survived by: his children, Robert L. Smith, Jr. (Michelle) of Coon Rapids, MN and Victoria Lynn Rigney (Clyde) of Frederica. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren; ten great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
