It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Evelyn Brooks (Frederica, Delaware), born in Milford, Delaware, who passed away on December 29, 2018, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, John Gillis and Lena Baker (Collins); her husband Charles R. Lare, Sr.; her siblings, John Baker, Harvey Baker, Betty Davis, Loretta Johnson and Joan Guessford; her children, Catherine Kohland (Jack), Karen Ramsey (Bob) and Charles R. Lare, Jr. (Debbie); her sister Dora Short (Harold); her grandchildren, Dustin Lare, Amy Saia (Tony), Charles Desrosiers and Kalea Ramsey; her great grandchildren, Tyler Lare, Brianna Lare, Landon Saia, Abby Lare, Caleb Lare and Christopher Ramsey; and also Kevin Short (Debbie). She was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to the First State Animal Shelter and S.P.C.A., 32 Shelter Circle, Camden, DE 19934.
