She is survived by: her siblings, Kermit Jr., Donald, Pearl, Doris, Kenneth, Charles, Randall and Nelson; her husband James "Jimmy" Scarborough Sr.; her children, Lacinda Stelzig (Gary), James Jr. Scarborough (Tammy), Jeffrey Scarborough and Katrina Scarborough; her grandchildren, Alexis (Mandy), Justin, Melissa, Kelly, James III, Amber (Dino), David, Brian and Nathan; her siblings, James Mosley (Joy), Joyce Gould (Martin), Richard Mosley (Doris) and Darlene Barnes (George); her siblings-in-law, Curtis Baker, Margaret Mosley, Paula Mosley and Delores Winston (Robert); and her cousin Mildred "Tibb" Perry. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren.
A committed Christian, Ellen accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior and was a devoted member of Hubert AME Church, now New Beginnings Community AME Church until COVID and subsequent health issues prevented her from attending.
