It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Virginia Mae Hawley of Frankford, Delaware, born in Tiltonsville, Ohio, who passed away on November 8, 2024, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Jack Hanlin and Alice Hanlin (Cole); and her son Ty Renshaw. She is survived by: her husband George E. Bender, Jr.; her daughters, Tammie Kromer (Wayne) of Laurel, MD and Tina Renshaw of Baltimore, MD; and her stepchildren, George Bender, III (Janee) of Seaford, DE, Debra Sorensen (Raymond) of Fairless Hills, PA, Joseph Bender (Tammy) of Florida and James Bender of Levittown, PA. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren; 19 step grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and 5 step great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 14th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Ocean View Chapel (38040 Muddy Neck Rd, Ocean View, DE 19970). A funeral service was held on Thursday, November 14th 2024 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
